Jeevan Singh is a Indie Folk/Pop Singer Songwriter. She was born in Manhattan and has been in Portland and is now living in Spain.
March 1983, New York, the snow fell softly. Her mother had studied classical Spanish guitar in the city, Puerto Rico, and later NYU. She wrote songs about liberty. Her mother sang to her first child in the womb.
March 1997, New York, she was gifted a round guitar, her first guitar, by her mother.
July 2002, Portland, newly relocated, she met a wonder of songwriters, artists, and activists.
Jeevan Singh grew up listening to Cat Stevens, old Bollywood soundtracks, and her mother’s songs on the guitar. She lived in Portland, Oregon and played with two bands there - Love Menu and Gatos - as well as solo.
August 2008, Portland, she released "Golden Lights EP" on House of Sound Records as a sort of goodbye to Portland.
September 2008, Spain, she packed her bags to test her luck on another continent. Now she's in the process of writing new songs.
